Tourist Tax
The municipality of Braga charges a tourist tax of €1.50 per person for each overnight stay in local accommodation establishments and tourist developments, up to a maximum of four consecutive nights - from the fifth night onwards, the tax is waived. The tax applies to guests aged 16 and over and will be applied throughout the year.
Guests staying for medical treatment are exempt from payment, and this exemption extends to accompanying persons, provided they present proof of scheduling or provision of medical services, or equivalent document. Guests with a disability of 60% or more are also exempt, provided they present proof of their condition, as are guests staying with a declaration of social emergency or Civil Protection.
